Today my Fusion radio locked up and now it's asking me for an unlock code. I called the dealership and was asked for 190 RON (around 40$) for the unlock. ? Has anyone else done it? What do you suggest me to do? I honestly don't want to pay 40$ to the dealership for the unlock. Unfortunately, your European Union Fusion is a completely different vehicle than the U.S. Fusion this forum is dedicated to. Your Fusion is a 4 door, compact hatch. Our Fusion is a 4 door, mid-size sedan which has virtually nothing in common with your Fusion, other than the name. Our Fusion is essentially the same vehicle as the 4 door sedan version of the Mondeo in the E.U., That being said, I am sure another member here will jump in to help if they are familiar with the workings of your Fusion audio system. AdiGarage Posted November 25, 2023 Share Posted November 25, 2023 Hi! I had the same problem with a customer a week ago. The radio comes from the factory with an anti-theft code. Every time you run out of power to the car, the radio will lock up and ask for that code. If the radio is original to your car, I will explain how to get that code: 1. try looking in the car's papers. 2.Go to the Ford dealership (I don't recommend, the customer asked 40$ for the unlock). 3. Apply the same method I used. You have to take the radio off, and on the radio you will find a label with a serial number. You can find a lot of websites on the net that offer radio unlocking services, I got it from here : ford radio code, or you can try ebay.
