Mickey Logan
Search turned up little of any value. Anyone done this at home / there are no step by step Youtube videos for this specific year / model.
WKelley
Almost a guaranty that it has to come down through the bottom with the engine still connected to the transmission. This is obviously not an entry level job and you'll need lots of different tools as well. There will be other parts that should get changed when the engine/trans is out because of access. The Fusion is not a car that most do it yourselfers would buy, it's a very generic bland car. Just start by taking off any easy parts first, take LOT AND LOTS of pictures as you tear it down. If you have to give up 1/2 way through a garage will absolutely destroy the bill and charge way more than it should because no mechanic wants to put together a car someone else took apart.
Socket
Thanks. Not my first time R&R engines/trans but never on front drive 4 banger, always older V8 GM or Ford. Yep, expect to remove sub frame and drop from bottom; did not expect to remove engine and trans as a single component but we'll see/
