Just updated latest Sync3 update. Since then the phone features are suspect. My android phone will not pair. Tried master reset three times but after reset my android phone is still stored and I cannot remove it. Frustrating

Hi NealT. Just a few questions:

- Is it safe to assume your 2019 Fusion is equipped with SYNC 3.4?

- Did you perform the update via WiFi...or via USB download from the Ford SYNC 3 update website?

- What version of SYNC did your system update to?

Get back to us and good luck.

Hi NealT Okay, so it seems your update was successful and you have the latest version of SYNC 3.4 installed (SYNC 3.4.23188).

The next question is: What SYNC Master Reset instructions were you following? Did you use the SYNC Master Reset instructions in your Owners Manual? If the multiple SYNC Master Resets were not successful and you used instructions from another source, following the Owners Manual instructions would be the next step (if that was not what you did).

If that is of no help, then it becomes more likely that is a system error or flaw which may need to be corrected (i.e. a bad APIM etc.).

Try the Owners Manual instructions for a SYNC Master Reset (if you didn't already) and let us know how you make out.

If another member has more help to offer, I am sure they will jump in to help.

Keep us updated and good luck.

Hi, followed the master reset instructions to the letter all times. I believe I do have a bad APIM for sure and am trying to find a USB download but the Ford link is broken it appears. I have Ford helping, or at least saying they are helping, not much help so far though....thanks for the info though. As you say, any other members experiencing the same thing? Please feel free to comment. Thanks.

Hi NealT. Is the following Ford SYNC 3 update website link the one you stated was/is broken? https://www.ford.com/support/sync-maps-updates/

If not, try that one.

And hopefully the Ford representatives you are speaking with will be able to assist you.

Keep us updated and good luck.
