captlear
I have a 2018 fusion hybrid with 89000 miles on it, it has started making a beeping sound every 10 to 20 seconds. I unhooked the 12 volt battery and it had no affect as it continued with it disconnected. I ran a scan with a topdon scanner with no codes showing, and no warning lights displayed on dash. Any idea what would cause this? I also checked and this happens whether the car is on or off.
WKelley
Any general idea where it is coming from? Any small kids rid in the car and maybe lost a toy?
captlear
It's a loud beep from what appears to be the engine compartment about like some cars when you lock the car with your fob.
WKelley
Find the service disconnect for the hybrid battery and pull it and see if the beeping stops. Other than that, I have no idea what else could be doing such a thing other than a damaged module.
captlear
Previously, I tried disconnecting the 12V battery and it still beeped. With it reconnected, I pulled the service disconnect for the high voltage and it still makes the beep. It sounds like a backup beeper on construction equipment but only beeps once from 5 to about 20 seconds apart.
WKelley
Have you looked under the dash to see is some sort of aftermarket alarm is installed? Has to be something of that nature. If possible post up a small video.
captlear
My bad, my motorcycle (Victory Vision) was beside it and the beeping was from it. It has a navigation and alarm system that must have been tripped.
