P2196 becomes P2195 after O2 sensor change??

Recommended Posts

2012 Ford Fusion SE 2.5L

Engine running very rough, stalls, hard starting.   Code pulled was P2196 Too Rich Sensor 1 Bank 1.

Replaced O2 sensor with new one.

Also changed spark plugs because I had a set.  Old ones were real clean and not rich at all.

Now P2196 has been replaced with P2195 Too Lean Sensor 1 Bank 1.

I didn't expect that.  Not sure where to go next though I do have some fuel injectors I'll throw in there.

Thoughts?   TIA!

I'd be checking fuel pressure before throwing anything else at it.   Make sure you are using good brand name parts, cheap chinese parts will just add to the hell of fixing it.
