Zachary
So I just recently purchased a 2013 Ford Fusion 1.6L Ecoboost a few weeks back. Great car and great milage. I'm having a slight issue though. I started noticing that usually when I drive it to work and leave it parked for about 9-10 hours it'll smoke on start-up. Pretty thick smoke resembling oil burning. Then I started noticing it'll also do it slightly when I'm in park or idling at a red light, but not all the time? There are times I start it perfectly fine with the burning oil fumes but then other times it pretty thick but always goes away after about 10-15 seconds... Any ideas? Possibly the boost having issues or PCV?
mozz
How many miles? Do you know the maintenance history? What shape is the oil in it now? It may just be worn a bit or maybe the valve seals?
WKelley
Direct injected cars like the Ecoboost lineup can have bluish smoke from bad/leaky injectors or improper fuel pressure. You need to do a case study, start writing down when you have to add oil (if you do) and how much. Would not hurt to have it looked at for fueling problems too.
