MRF777
Hi everyone, I've owned my 2010 Fusion for almost 3months now with no trips back to the dealer yet. Has anyone had to take their Fuison back for service? what was wrong with it?
bartman1
10,500 miles on my 2010 SEL AWD - no problems!
skluck
Nothing so far, but I'm only 1,300 miles in. Other than the scratches I've given it, those make me want to cry
dadopotato
Replaced smart junction box for front turn signals at 300 miles-this took several days as they first thought it was the bulbs then a switch. Add another day to fix settings in the computer after the repair. Ended up getting the daytime running lights turned on for my trouble. Little plastic doohickey on top of shift knob fell off and needs to be reglued. Also have had the weird ignition-turning-over-without-starting thing but have not taken it in for that-not even sure it is a problem. 2010 SE 4 cyl 6 sp mt, 1300 miles

mvalet
The first Milan we got never made it off the lot and after a week of trying to fix it got it replaced with another car, same specs. That made it off the lot for about 5 miles from the dealer. After two weeks of repairs all seems well now. But one more day in the shop and it was legal time. First car would not go off of heat mode and in NC, 95 deg weather that's not going to cut it. They could not fix it period. Second car had a window leak (after we got it back the 4th time for the following repair), front window replaced and the major pain was the reverse and side sensors which would go wacko while driving and whenever backing up, took them 5 different repair attemps to get that fixed. Error Codes all over the place. Funny thing is I'm getting for both cars all the owners stuff from Mecury and for the Sat radio. Twice as many oil change coupons! I have to say I still have respect for the dealer, they didn't make the car but they did take care of us and shared our frustrations.

lrymal
Hi everyone, I've owned my 2010 Fusion for almost 3months now with no trips back to the dealer yet. Has anyone had to take their Fuison back for service? what was wrong with it? Other than the weird dust in the interior, no problem with my FFH at all and economy continues to inch upwards. However, I only have about 2000 miles on the car.

Tralmix
2010 Fusion SEL I-4. Little less than 2000 miles. Only problem I have had is with SYNC TDI. If I use the directions function then go off route it will ask me if I want to update route, I say yes and I get either "Unable to connect phone" or it just sits there and does nothing. Anyone else have this problem?

who
2010 Ford Fusion S i4 6spd manual............... Total transmission failure. Less than 1000 miles and its at the dealer waiting to get the transmission replaced. I took it in to the dealer for the no start issue mentioned in the forum. I got a call back from the dealer later that day and they couldn't get the car out of gear and when they did it grinds through the gears. I'm considering changing out my blue ford oval emblem to a big lemon.
sawbuck44
Hi, I am a new ford fusion owner but the car is a 2007 with 55k. Besides having a hanging caliper, which is not a problem with the ford itself, only one other thing happened. But, I don't know exactly what. This is the car my 17 yo son drives. He came home one night and said it stalled and he would take care of it and go to Autozone. I told him that he has to be careful what he does because of the warranty. He was very vague on what happened, but said that it stalled while he was driving. I've tried to research what causes a car to stall like that. Lots of reasons. Well, between you and me (lol), I can access his myspace. A comment from a friend said 'did your mom find out about the car part?' led me to poke around in his room. Found a receipt for a spectre red cotton fiber core air filter. Now I know why he asked for $40 and said he was going to his friend Andy's for about an hour. (Thank God this is all it was, if you know what I mean.) I apologize for this post if it isn't in the right place or is annoying to read. My question is why would an air filter cause a car to stall and what else should I have the car looked at for? Taking it in for an oil change and they're going to see this new filter so that's when I can tell my son, don't put anything in the car unless I know about it and the dealer does it! I cannot let on that I found out any other way. Then I'll lose my inside information access. Go Ford!

Dyoct
2006 SEL I4 with just over 63,000 miles: Door seals leaking/whistling. Lacks power, especially under 4,000RPM. Power steering very noisy. Rear main seal leaking. Rust bubbles on roof. Rust spots on rear decklid by chrome trim. It stalled randomly once at a stoplight without warning and the engine light was on. By the time I could get it scanned, light was gone and no DTC in memory... Recently started buzzing/vibrating at approx 3,000 RPM under load after it sat for three days in the garage, sounds like an exhaust leak but have been unable to locate it.

mkaresh
I compile reliability stats, and the Fusion has been doing very well in our survey: Ford Fusion reliability comparisons We'll have a preliminary stat for the 2010 next month. Need more participants for the 2010 to provide a full result for it.
SGM Dean
Had my '10 SE Auto since July 8. 7,100 miles. Have not uncovered a single reason to bring it in. Use it as a lumber truck for backyard projects, hauling a dozen or more boards at a time. Front passenger seat folds down flat on this model. Have 10 ft of carpet i spread upside down entire length. One thing that could be improved: Auto-dimming inside rear-view mirror (the one in the Expedition seems to work better). On the other hand, I'm sitting much higher up in the Expy so headlights probably don't hit at the same angle. Since the front passenger seat folds flat, it would make more sense if the 60/40 split fold down rear seats gave the 60% to the passenger side.
