Just search ebay under "Ford Fusion" The spoiler is unpainted, but no holes have to be drilled. It attaches using 3M double-sided tape. The good news is, even though it has to be painted, black is easy to match if you wanted to paint it yourself. That window trim kit looks super but I probably don't have the necessary skills to do it and I doubt my Ford dealer would do any after-market work. Got a terrible feeling that a stock Ford spoiler installed at the dealer would run about $500 or more. I'm not as adventuresome as I once was. Nice pickup. Guess I have thread drifted enough. Thanks, Jason Jason, I purchased the Spoiler Direct as shown in the link in Post #5. It fit perfectly, looked better than the factory and was just under 200 dollars painted. The paint matched perfect. Shipment was also fast. The spoiler that I purchased has the third member light built in, so I removed the factory light under the rear window and covered the hole with matching carpet. Looks great. Hope that I am not too late for your question. Also, I have added the Stainless Steel exhaust tips from Pep Boys at 12.99 each, but later found round ones from Auto Zone at 14.99 each that I like better.... slaterracing Posted January 19, 2007 Share Posted January 19, 2007 Here is a write up i did for another forum Got the spoiler off e-bay painted and shipped for $119.00 with wire connectors and wire cover i have less that $130 into the spoiler. Sorry the car is a little dirty 1. Tape are with painters tape 2. Attach Templates to spoiler and position on trunk eyeball then measure to make sure it is centered side to side and front to back. Tape down templates with painters tape and remove spoiler. 3. Drill thru the holes in the templates with a small bit. Remove templates then using a large enough bit to allow screws or bolts to go thru holes. For the brake light harness I only drilled thru the first panel so I could run the harness under the panel under the trunk lid by drilling another hole in the side of the open cavern. 4. Run wire thru hole and set spoiler in place and bolt it down. I used gasket maker to seal up the holes. I also put some on the threads of the screws. 5. Since spoiler is now done it is time to move onto wiring the brake light. Cover the wire with plastic wire covers from the parts store so that it looks just like the factory harness that is coming from the trunk light. Run it along the harness and tape it in place. 6. For a cleaner look I ran the wire thru the opening near were the rear speakers were installed that way they are tucked out of the way so nothing will hit them. 7. After pulling the wire out at the trunk light opening you can now attach it to the break light harness. You will have to take the electrical tape and plastic cover off the brake light wires. After that you can tap into the wires. Solid wire to solid and striped wire to striped. 8. I then taped up everything so you cannot see the splice connectors. I was just wondering, did you touch up the bare metal where you drilled with some primer or touch up paint, to keep it from rusting? I have read in how-to's for this type of work that the bare metal should always be painted to avoid rust later. I'm guessing you did, since you did a very thorough job, but you didn't mention it. Just thought I would throw the idea out there for anyone else who might do this type of work. I got mine for my silver frost '06 SE V6 and even the dealer where I bought the car loved the look of it better than the one they were selling (at 249.00 too). I think that is one of the fastest shippings i have ever gotten off of e-bay. I first asked them what the difference was between their 27L and 14L spoiler and they told me that the 27L was about 2" taller than the 14L and the ends break down to about a 40 degree angle. Otherwise they fit about the same. I then telephoned them at 1-866-793-9464, spoke with James Vineyard, (I never put my credit card number in the internet - don't care how "safe" it is), and ordered their 14L. Jim told me it would be painted that same day and shipped on tuesday, so it should get here by tomorrow evening and I will use your instructions to install. BTW, great tip on how to hide the wires. BTW: the cost is: Spoiler/Wing = $99.99 Painting ==== $69.99 Shipping ====$29.99 -------------------------- Total ======$199.97 Will inform you when it arrives.
