Exploding?

Someone at work told me he read somewhere that the fusion explodes when the drivers door is hit. Is this true? It can't be. Last I checked, the gas tank is under the trunk, not where the driver sits, Ha! He hates Ford anyways, he's full of it. Besides he drives a Chrysler, why should I trust him? lol. I'm sure that if the fusion was exploding in crashes, or for that matter, if any new car was exploding, I would be able to find it on the net. But I can't find anything about it. Anybody heard anything?

from learning the hard way...I wrote off my 06 I-4 ..24k damage...high speed head on impact..and the car took it so well...got out and walked away completely unhurt...the fusions have fuel cutouts that activate after a medium jolt...so the chances of becoming a crispy kridder....are slim at best....
