akirby
Well it allows my phone and iPod to work together. I'll make a video just to prove it. No need to "prove" it - I was just seeking clarification.
akirby
Hmmm...Not that I know of. Do you mean in the pairing part? The iPod uses the Media Stream Bluetooth part to connect, and the phone uses the Sync Bluetooth part for the phone. There are 2 separate bluetooth thingamajigs in the car. It doesn't connect through the phone bluetooth settings. Got it. Never tried to connect a non-phone bluetooth device and syncmyride FAQs don't really explain it very well. I didn't realize there was a separate thing for bluetooth pairing in the Media section.

I don't think it "pairs" really as my wife picked up my iPod through her speakers in the garage when she was on media stream. I think it's just an open bluetooth on the iPod. the phones are different and that's why they pair them up with a PIN.
rpreuss
I have a 2010 FF Hybrid with the NAV system and an iPhone 3Gs. When I get in the car and start it, there are TWO distinct "connecting to iPhone" banners, so I assume that one is the phone and one is the audio channel. I've only paired mine with the phone portion so it only connects once (but I can still stream my ipod over bluetooth). I'll have to play around with the media portion.
