low_key
Hi Crew, I'm doing some research for my mom, she has an 2007 SE V6 AWD model with 50,000 kilometers, which is about 31,000 miles. When does the transmission fluid require replacement? I do not see it in the owners manual but the dealer said it now must be done! Thanks in advance, AJ Edited February 22, 2010 by low_key
bbf2530
Hi Crew, I'm doing some research for my mom, she has an 2007 SE V6 AWD model with 50,000 kilometers, which is about 31,000 miles. When does the transmission fluid require replacement? I do not see it in the owners manual but the dealer said it now must be done! Thanks in advance, AJ Hi AJ. :D All scheduled service for Moms Fusion is listed in the Ford Scheduled Maintenance Guide (which she would have been given when she purchased her vehicle, if she purchased it new), not in the Owners Manual. The recommended change interval for the 2007 V-6 transmission is 150,000 miles for "Normal Service" vehicles. The recommended change interval is 30,000 miles for "Severe Duty" vehicles (vehicles used for towing, long periods of idling like taxis, etc.). So unless her driving qualifies as "Severe Duty" or her transmission fluid looks or smells "burnt", her Dealer is simply trying to drum up a little extra money for themselves. If you can not find her copy pf the Scheduled Maintenance Guide, you can download a PDF version here: LINK: Ford Owner Guides Fill in the drop down boxes and click "Submit". Then click on "Scheduled Maintenance Guide". Hope this information helps. Good luck. :beerchug: Edited February 22, 2010 by bbf2530
