DJE
16.6 is way too low. Sounds like you are running too rich. The MAF sensor you replaced should have fixed that. Usually you can just clean them. Did you use all genuine Ford replacement parts? You could have got a bad one. Did you disconnect the negative connection to the battery for a few minutes? You may have fixed the cam sensor issue. The computer would need to be reset by disconnecting the battery to get rid of the CEL. That would reset your avg mpg too. rawischuy
i did not dissconnect the battery....ive installed sensors on my 02 sable and check engine light came off by its self....the mass airflow sensory that was thought to be bad was installed in a 06 ford 500 last week and that car still hasnt gotten a check enginr light on....i' ll disconnect the negative wire after class. what else can cause my car to run to rich

DJE
According to this, no. http://www.obd-codes.com/p0010
dee123
the oxygen sensor code was probably set due to the engine mixture being so far off. Don't worry about it right now. Did you check for the proper reference voltages to the sensors before you changed them? Did you check the ground circuits? Could be a PCM fault, but I would check the wiring before throwing more parts at it.
FtLewis2002
Did you used to have a tuner on it, or did the guy before you have a tuner on it? I've seen those cause a car to run rich, and give off bad o2 codes, etc.

Why? That code is for the intake cam position actuator cicuit. Did you mean you changed the VCT solenoid? Don't worry about the O2 sensor until you fix the P0010 code. FYI the possible causes for the code are open or short in VCT circuit, open VPWR circuit and open or short in VCT solenoid valve.
rawischuy
i've heard off the vct solenoid...i know where both are located.. which one is back one ? is it the one nearest to the firewall or the nearest to the front of the car... also where else can i find it besides the dealership?...and last how do u remove it??????
dee123
The left side of the engine is the side with the oil fill cap. remove valve cover and a single bolt holds the solenoid in place. Ford part number is 6B287. Recommend replacing solenoid, bolt and valve cover gasket.
