munruss
Hello everyone. I have a 2010 Fusion Sport and I'm looking to upgrade the factory headlights with HIDs. I don't want to go crazy with it. I just want standard HIDs with the standard colors and brightness. Can anyone suggest any website of quality HIDs? Thank you.

Thank you. i just installed a set of volt digital hid's ..you can get them at any site but you need a digital set. the fusion has something with the computer that reads voltage to the bulbs and if there is not enough it throws a code. so make sure they are digital.. the passenger side you have to remove the wheel well and the driver side the air box..

Are volt HIDs different than any other HID kits out there? What is the diifference between digital and I guess analog HIDs? Also, how is the brightness at night now that you have them? Thank you.

Also, how is the brightness at night now that you have them? Thank you. The Volt HID kit has gotten favorable reviews from the guys in the Fusion Club who have installed it. If you shop here KB Car Stuff Volt HID and use Coupon Code 'TF', it will knock $25 off the $120 price, which is quite good for a quality digital kit. The Apexcone HID kit has also gotten good reviews. There are multiple threads with comments on installation and pictures posted here: Fusion Exterior Lighting Re your question on brightness, the brightest and whitest HID bulbs are the 5000K color temp. As you go up to 6000K, 8000K, and 10,000K, the bulbs get bluer and dimmer. There are some good pictures here: HID Color Chart Good luck with your installation!
acdii
Do the digital kits still require the BOW harness, or do they draw enough current to keep it from being triggered? I plan to purchase a kit soon, so I want to make sure I get everything I need before I start to install them.
pcsgrp35se
digital, non digital I installed mine with the BOW packs and have never ever had a problem. One thing I do suggest, some of the instructions suggest you put a little slice in the rubber dust boot go get the wires thru. I suggest you put a hole in the back of the boot and slide everythign thru that and then seal that hole up. When I did the slit, I had problems with the dust boot coming off and water getting into the back of the housing. I had to use a hair blower to dry it out and then use black duct tape to make a tight fit around the dust boot
Badmamerjamma
I ordered mine from HIDextra.com, I got the relay harness to go with it. I was told I didn't neeed a cancellor for the kit. I got two different kits for my2010 fusion sport for 120.00. H11 55W HID Xenon Conversion Kit.It has a digitial ballast as well. Has anyone had any problems with the headlight assemble not being able to handle the heat from the bulb? Thanks in Advance!!!
LFSoccer2k6
I use ONLY the retrofit source and had no problems. Use 4300K or 5000K and use their relay harness as well...no problems what-so-ever!
