Does anyone know how to remove door panel so outside driver mirror can be repalced ?

See attached PDF for the 06-09 model.

Once the door and sail panel is removed then you just have to disconnect the wire and remove the 3 bolts. When reinstalling, the bolts should be tightened to 71 lb-in.

Good post System48.

for those who still need the help.

You have to pry the door panal all around from the metal door frame using a large flat screw driver.

I have a 2009 SEL and have a rattle that sounds like it is coming from the driver's side door. I plan to remove the panel and see what I can find. Has anyone else had a rattle in the door and figured out what to tighten/tape/zip tie? My concern is I will get in there and not find it. A little direction on what others have found would be helpful.

@evh:

I haven't had any issues like that with my new Fusion, but on other cars in the past, I've found that annoying door rattles are usually the result of wiring harnesses or other similar items getting loose. Look for anything that may have been initially stabilized by duct tape or adhesive that can break down over time or from heat. I have also seen things that were foam-wrapped for noise prevention start to "noise up" when the foam gets brittle and stops doing its job. Another source might be a part that has worked loose or a foreign object that has fallen down into the trough at the bottom of the door. I have also found rattles by taking off the door trim panel and driving the car. You can often hear the source of the noise clearer, and can grab various parts to see if the noise is affected or stops completely. Hope this helps...
