AirMel
So the new 2010 Fusion Sport with the 3.5 instead of the 3.0 does not come with any kind of emblem stating that the car is either a 3.0 or a 3.5 . It doesnt really matter, but I was thinking to myself, If I paid for the 3.5, I want to show it off and how would someone know if they saw me driving down the street, if my sport was a 3.0 or a 3.5. Well here was my solution to my problem. After a total install time of 2 minutes and a whopping 8 bucks for the purchase, Id say this was about the most simple and yet very catchy mod. Ordered a 3.5L V6 Emblem for a nissan altima from ebay.

autoxr1
I also liked the idea of showing the uninformed that the Sport has more under the hood than a standard Fusion, and did a similar mod several months ago on my car. However, my preference was to find '3.5' numbers that were a good match with the 'SPORT' lettering. Here's the result.

I've searched ebay and have come up empty.

Here's one.

DCSport
those tail lights look sweet. did you darken them somehow or is that just lighting? Ditto on the taillights...those painted or decal over them? I too think I may de-badge, at least the SPORT badge it looks cheezy to me. I'd rather have the Magna-flow exhaust let people know what I have under the hood than a decal!

Yes, I had the taillights tinted at the same time I had all the front end chrome and the window belt moldings tinted to dark chrome. Also did the front sidemarkers. The tint has held up well everywhere. Here's the front view:

I'm getting ready to get my windows tinted (once I get the car) and maybe I'll ask about doing that same thing or at least the taillights.
Rlspencer
How did you go about lining up the 3.5? Thanks Bob

I took my Fusion to MRT in the Detroit area right after buying it. I had seen other Ford vehicles they had applied dark chrome to, like the Fusion T5: MRT Fusion T5 They were working on a new 2010 Fusion for the SEMA Show. After seeing the tint job, I had them do exactly the same to my car. Got mine on the street even before theirs got to SEMA :D
