Best Color..

I am hopefully going to be getting a FFH before the end of the year, I am somewhat undecided on color. I originally thought I would like the Steel Blue, but after seeing it yesterday on a fusion for the first time, I didn't really care for it, to green for me. Now I think I have narrowed it down to the Red Candy Metallic and Tri White Platinum Metallic, the Black Tuxedo Metallic might also be on the list. I think I would really like the Black Leather interior (I currently have black leather in my Pathfinder with over 165K and it still looks great,) but I mostly only see that color on the grey's, and not sure I want a grey one.

Thanks...

White will be the easiest to keep clean by far. It looks great, especially in the sun and under streetlamps - almost has a glow to it.

Black will be the worst - it will show every little speck and scratch but looks great when it's clean.

Red would be somewhere in between. I'd take the red personally.

I have a '10 SEL in tuxedo black w/ the sport app pkg which includes the body colour front grille. Always get compliments on the black which has greens and purples in the bright sun and also been told many times how much more custom the black front grille looks than the standard chrome. Just my 2 cents....

I've had both black and white cars, a number of black including the hybrid we have now and I can tell you I think it is much easier to keep the black clean. On those hot summer days driving down the freeway and when you stop take a look at the white with all the little black poka dots of tar on it. Gets real bad around the wheel wells. I'm not saying black cars don't get them too, but at least I don't see them and they can wait till I do the fall wax before winter. Someone here a few months ago was complaining about his white car. It seems the special white paint costs an arm and a leg to repair. Black matches without any trouble and doesn't fade plus after a couple of hours of waxing my white car I could barely tell the difference from when I started. When I wax the black car I know right away plus I can see where I left off on the wax job and don't have to guess like I do when we had a white car. One was enough for me. I take the black car to the auto wash weekly and drive it. Thats all.

I've seen white cars that looked spotless until you got up close and they were covered with a film of dust and dirt. Any speck of dust on a black car will show up. If you're only talking about black specks then sure, black will hide those better than white but we get dust and dirt around here, not black specks.

For regular dust and dirt a white or light colored car will hide it much better than black. Not to mention with black you get spiderwebs if you're not super careful when you wash it.
