bandit97
Just bought a used Fusion Hybrid, 2010, and cannot find the keyless entry code? Hopefully an easy question to answer, but where is the code located on the car? Thanks for any help.
chris00gt
Just bought a used Fusion Hybrid, 2010, and cannot find the keyless entry code? Hopefully an easy question to answer, but where is the code located on the car? Thanks for any help. On my 09, the code was printed on two credit cards that you put in your wallet. As far as I know there is no code printed on the car. My guess is you'll have to go back to the dealership to find the code out.

raisin
The manual says its avail from dealer "whatever that means" It may be on side of fusebox or computer under dash. It was on my 02 Taurus. Edited January 19, 2011 by raisin
raisin
I just did an internet search. From wiki answers it states "Under the drivers side dash. Up to the left hand side of brake pedal. There will be a black box and the last 5 numbers will be your code." That sounds like it was on my Taurus.....

DGBoston
They were there and it worked. Thanks to all for the help. Would it be possible to share a picture with where the numbers are located? I'm not having any luck in finding them.
dennisw
Any Ford dealer can link their computer to your car and retrieve the code. They may charge you 1/2 hour but many will do this free.
DGBoston
Would it be possible to share a picture with where the numbers are located? I'm not having any luck in finding them. Ok, I and other Fusion owners in my situation do not need to go to the dealer. I have found the 5 digit code stuck under the drivers side of the dash board. Here's an image of it to help others find it. (I made all of the #'s zero so that I don't give my code away!) Hope this helps!
marcalle
Mine was on the fusebox under the driver side dash. To the left of the brake pedal.
whoathere
So if I were to buy one of the keyless entry accessories from Ford, do you think those 5 would be my code? Or maybe I don't even have the sticker because I don't already have the keyless entry pad..
bbf2530
So if I were to buy one of the keyless entry accessories from Ford, do you think those 5 would be my code? Or maybe I don't even have the sticker because I don't already have the keyless entry pad.. Hi whoathere. :D The latter. Since your car was not equipped with the keyless entry keypad, it has no factory code. So if you purchase and install the stick-on Genuine Ford Accessory keyless entry keypad, you will program your own code/codes. On a side note, the factory keyless entry keypad can also be programmed with individual codes, as long as the owner knows the factory code for the programming procedure. Good luck. :beerchug: Edited December 24, 2011 by bbf2530
akirby
The accessory stick-on keypad also comes with a preset factory code and then you can add your own personal codes. It gets programmed to the vehicle just like another key/keyfob since that's all it really is as far as the car is concerned.
bbf2530
To avoid any confusion: whoathere's car will not have a preset factory code on the fuse box for the stick-on Genuine Ford Accessory keypad. He will program the Genuine Ford Accessory keyless keypad to his car in the same manner as an IKT remote. Merry Christmas everyone! :beerchug:
kb4iaz
Ok, I and other Fusion owners in my situation do not need to go to the dealer. Hope this helps! To save confusion. There are several boxes under there with codes on UPC type bar coded tags. Look at the box closest to the brake pedal arm. it is exactally as the photo shown here. The others have longer number strings. the one you want "ONLY" has 5 digits. That was how i found it on my 2010 Ford Fusion.
stevefinney
I have a 2010 Fusion Hybrid. The code is not really close to the brake pedal, but on the left side under the dash. I have been try to contort my head to try and read the code. It was nearly impossible, but I was able to peek through a tiny space under the dash and I had to actually unplug a wire harness from the fuse box to get a view of the code, but alas, it was there and I'm all set now. It is located as the picture shows above (but not that open of a view) between two wire harness plugs on the fuse box.
sfreibur@gmail.com
Thank you very much for your post. This works on my 2012 Fusion as well and it just saved me $60 plus tax. Thank you again!
esas2050
Excellent help forum on keyless entry keypad code. Sure enough the code is under the dash, drivers side, left of the brake pedal, just as the article stated. It was a six digit code but again just leave off the last number of my code and it worked great! Thanks for your help! And I didn't have to take it to the dealer like they said I would have to and saved $ and time! Edited August 6, 2013 by esas2050

markhoni
Welcome to the forum, markhoni. Is there a specific question I can assist with? Let me know and I'll do what I can to help. Crystal i bought the Fusion used. It does not have the wallet cards with the keypad numbers. I tried the process with the 2 keys mentioned in the manual, and it did not show the code. This is not the push button start model.

Hi markhoni, If you're having difficulty tracking down the numbers, your keyless entry codes may be obtained by your dealership using diagnostic equipment. You'll need to have a picture I.D. and the vehicle's documentation indicating that you're the owner. Keep in mind that there may be a charge for this service.
