I ordered this for my 2011 sport.

Did any one order/install this, if so did it improve your handling/ride(as advertised)?

THANKS

I put one on my sport a few months ago. There less body flex in the turns and a more assured feeling in the turns.

I like it.

Just installed it in my 2010 SEL without the sport suspension and I see an improvement in turning stability. In hard cornering, especially over bumps, it really helps the car stick to the ground better. For lack of a better phrase. I think it was worth the money and looks very nice.

Too bad it won't fit mine.

Did anyone who installed it notice the hood needed to be dropped from higher to latch? it seems mine wont let the hood close due to the clearance with the insulation from the original level where I often drop the hood, now I have to drop a bit higher to get it to lock. hood looks locked and intact from outside and no dents. I got a bit worried if my tower brace was molded too high, but I guess its the hood insulation that needs to get used to pressing against it?

I haven't noticed a problem with the hood latching properly on mine. I drop my hood about 18" off the closed position

The strut tower brace was the first mod I did on my Fusion. Didn't notice too much, but now it probably plays a greater role since the car is dropped.

Its getting easier to close my hood now, I think its that the insulation had some slack and sometimes I have to correct the windshield wiper hose to make sure they not get squeezed, they got squeezed at one time and would not work, or one time work weakly, so had to reposition it so the strut bar not press against it.

Glad to see you guys are enjoying the tower brace ... It is definitely a nice upgrade to help aid in Better handling with more stable cornering.

We have received a lot of positive feedback on this product and it remains one of our hot sellers.

Installed this brace in 5 minutes. It is solid and seemingly well manufactured. On my first drive I could immediately feel the difference in the handling. This is an easy must do addition to any vehicle that has one available for install.

Shoot me an email at tim@steeda.com if I can help with anything?

Best Regards,

TJ

I just got around to installing mine on my '13 SE with 18" Ford wheels. I didn't expect magic, but I'm actually quite impressed.

There's enough of a difference that anybody, even someone who doesn't know cars, could feel it. I took a drive before installing it and jumped on a couple on-ramps to highways... the clover-leaf kind that turn you 270 degrees to get on the highway. The signs say 30 mph... without the strut bar I couldn't do much over 45 without feeling like the car was starting to float a bit, starting hearing the inside front tire as weight had shifted off from it and I lost confidence. I did a couple of these before returning home to install the bar, then went back out and drove the same roads.

I found I was able to do 50-55 on those same ramps with no noise from that inside tire, but I was hearing the outside front tire groaning a bit. I probably could have done 60 but I chickened out because the minor bumps in the Michigan concrete were sounding and feeling quite a bit more severe at that speed and I didn't want to damage tires or anything.

$120 well spent, in my opinion.
