BubbaOgre
Does anyone know what causes the different HP ratings in the different variations of the 3.5? There are the 263 HP Fusion and Taurus, 285 HP Edge, and 292 HP Explorer with the same basic engine. Does anyone know if the differences are engine programming or hardware (cams, exhaust, etc...)?
drolds1
The power upgrade is chiefly the result of the addition of Ti-VCT. 2011 Explorer Engine

The other differences are due to different intake and exhaust configurations and in some cases different PCM programming.
BubbaOgre
Thanks, guys. I was hoping it was something simple to duplicate like cams or intake manifold.
