07 AWD loud creeking noise in front end

Recommended Posts

First time I have not been able to diagnose my own car. I have an 07 awd and there is a loud creeking noise coming from the front passenger side. Im thinking its either a bad strut mount or a bad bushing but im not sure. Has anyone else had this problem the car only has 48k on it but I do live in Ohio and the roads are abusive to cars around here. Any help would be great thanks.

While driving, the valve was vibrating and striking the side of the hole making a rattling/clicking noise. When you hear a loud clicking noise while starting your car. Check if the lights, windscreen wiper work. If yes, then maybe there is a problem with the starter. Either it is jammed or there could be a problem with the starter motor.

Well, if any of Binakaradia's suggestions don't solve your problem, I've heard some earlier Fusions sufferred from cracking subframes. I guess it's some structure bolted under the engine. The posts I read mentioned creaking/popping noises going over speed bumps.

Well, I was being sarcastic about binikaradia's post, but when I was car shopping and searching forums for people's experiences with cars, I saw this cracking subframe problem multiple times with the early Fusions. Did a brief search just now but can't find them right now. (What the heck did Edmunds.com do to their website? Went to crap.) Whatever. Good luck finding your problem.

OK. It's easy to misunderstand stuff on forums.

I guess you've already checked the CV joints? Also, are the bushings the kind you can lubricate? I've also read about problems with engine mounts, but I think they showed up as a vibration, not creaking.
