mt54
I'm have a issue with the A/C in the Fusion. The Comp will not run. the psi is good no leaks, the fuses are all good, the only presure switch I can find is on the High side, makes no difference when by passed. there dosen't seem to be any pwr to the comp. I have heard of a Evaporator Discharge Air Temp Sensor located under the dash that is a known issue (at least on the 07) apparently they short out and stop the comp. from runnig. I have not varified if the same sencor is on the the 06. Just wondering if any one has any other ideas, before I remove the dash to look for this sensor. Fus1on.
According to the service manual ..... The evaporator discharge air temperature sensor is located inside of the heater coreand evaporator core housing in the air-stream leaving the evaporator core. Also this may help The A/C compressor clutch will only be engaged by the PCM if all of the followingconditions are met: - The climate control assembly is set to a mode which provides an A/C request to the PCM via the instrument cluster module (ICM). - The evaporator discharge air temperature sensor is reading an acceptable temperature. - The A/C pressure transducer is reading an acceptable pressure in the high side of the refrigerant system. - The A/C compressor relay is switched to the closed position by the PCM. - The engine coolant temperature is not excessively high. - The PCM has not detected a wide open throttle (WOT) condition.
