The airbag has went off, when I turn the key all light come on on dash but starter won't engage. When i turn the key I hear A clicking noise but thats all. Do i have to take into ford to get computer reset? Its seems like computer won't let it start. Any help would help. I know about the in line fuse on the postive cable they are both good
fusionmanor
Sounds like you need a charged battery first, then the computer will turn on and have enough volts to operate the starter.....unless the starter relay is smashed?

_10579
Sounds like an electrical problem. Unless it has a lo-jack or whatever on it, I don't see why it wouldn't start.. .
1ofakindgt
Or here is an idea why not have it towed to a dealer. If its a 2010 im sure you had insurance on it. Unless your running a salvage yard whats your intentions.

The main computer is stoping it from starting. Its acting like its been stolen i think I realize this is old but if the starter relay is clicking then it's not a computer problem. It's a bad battery or a bad starter motor or a bad relay but bad battery is most likely.

Does the Fusion have an impact switch that need resetting after a good jolt?
drolds1
Does the Fusion have an impact switch that need resetting after a good jolt? Yes, but if it needs resetting the car will continue to crank without starting. In this case, it isn't cranking at all.
akirby
Does the Fusion have an impact switch that need resetting after a good jolt? As Artie pointed out - that is just a fuel cutoff. The engine will crank but not start. The clicking noise is the starter relay trying to engage unsuccessfully. It's usually due to insufficient battery power.
bigter
I finely found the problem. I found one wire broke going to the starter. I fixed wire and it started right up. Thanks for all your input
