Steve,

I hope you can answer a question that no one seems to be able to answer

I have a 07 Se with 6cd(standard radio) It is a job2 and has roof antenna, and ipod jack.. I want to add the factory sirius radio option.Do you know what parts are needed ? IS the antenna on the roof for sirius, and is it connected to the radio already. I know this must be able to be done as the factory does it for $179.00

any help you can offer would be appreciated,as no one else seems to know the answer

As for the "DO NOT SELL" printed on the sticker, it was for vehicles that were given wrong engines, either the experimental 2.5 I-4 or the 3.5 V6. About 50 made it out to the US public. Compare it to your friend's Fusion for the difference.

Just kidding. It was a typographicl error. Apparently your selling dealer didn't fax in a request for a new sticker.

As for the Sirius upgrade, there are new parts available at your dealer that can make you ready for SR. It was a fairly new announcement and I don't recall the parts involved, I don't work in FCSD.

Aha, found the original notice on it. Apparently units built right before final 07 pricing was set had these labels printed. Pricing was announced on 7/7 so numerous units left Hermasillo before getting a replacement. Who's your selling dealer and where are they out of? I would think they can get you a corrected one.

I just took delivery of my 2007 Ford Fusion V6-SEL... I love it, but just noticed that I am missing the Auxilary Jack for MP3/iPOD in my center console, the rooftop antenna mast, and the front pass. seat does not fold down. What do I do now?

This is what the Ford Dealership's Service Manager reply:

OK, I HAVE JUST CONFIRMED FROM MY SOURCES THAT THEY MP3 HOOK UP CANNOT BE ADDED DUE TO WIRE HARNESS ISSUES AND THE SEAT CONFIGURATION CANNOT BE CHANGED TO TO LIABILITY ISSUES. I KNOW THERE ARE AFTERMARKET ADAPTORS THAT ARE AVAILABLE FOR THE MP3. I COULD POSSIBLY TRY TO GO TO FORD MOTOR COMPANY FOR SOME TYPE OF GOOD WILL LIKE A CAR PAYMENT OR SOME TYPE OF EXTENDED WARRANTY OR MAINTENANCE PLAN.DOES THAT SOUND LIKE AN OPTION? LET ME KNOW...

Is this true??? I AM NOT HAPPY WITH THEIR SOLUTION :banghead: , What can I do?

Steve, Is there any way I can get copies of the actual TSB's for the door and dash rattles? (Ones that show the dealer fix.) I would like to see if they are something I can attempt. You know how it is with rattles and trying to locate then fix them. I t is difficult for me to pinpoint where they are coming from let alone a dealer that will probably only drive the car for 5 mins. Also, do know the spec's on the oil drain plug. I can get a Fram Sure Drain for $2.00 from Pep Boys if it is the right size. Any help would be appreciated. Thanks, eiching1

Wow, There is a lot of questions here.

1) There were a few answerd already. Window sticker can be reorderd for the dealer with a price. You just a unit that was built before the price was set.

2) The job 2 cars will have all the stuff you are asking about (Roof Ant., Fold down seat, Input jack and so on) it would seem to be way to costly to install all these things. However I would think the Input jack would be very easy and low cost (maybe even A/M). Also I called my Sirius rep to find out what the cost to install it in a "job 2" car would be. I will let you know when I get a call back.

3)I can run the TBS report just give me your VIN... And tell me what it's doing. (ie dash rattles)

4) Drain plug I have no idea. Do want to know what size?? I can find out for you. Did you say V-6 or I-4? Also what is the advantage to the Fram sure drain plug?

OK. I have a 2006 Milan I4, vin #3MEFM07Z56R660724. It has a rattle in the dsh and the others are (seem to be) from the doors. They do not rattle from the stereo, only bad bumps. Also, how about the newest PCM update for the I4? The Fram Sure Drain is acually a plug with a valve, I think they discontinued them, but there are other compnaies that make them. The plug has a cover that you unscrew and them screw on a connector that has a hose. The connector actuates the valve to open and drain the oil. I am thinking, since I do my own oil changes that it will be easier and cleaner then dealing with the factory drain plug and the way the oil shot out of the pan. (I have no lift to work from). And yes, size is what I am looking for the one I can get is 14 x 1.5 . Thanks for any help you can be. I really appreciate it.

Seems like it may be better to let the dealership do it. Here is the 1st one.....

ISSUE:

Some 2006 Fusion and Milan vehicles may exhibit a speaker buzz or a squeak / rattle from the door panel area. Speaker buzz or squeak and rattle noises may be caused by the door panel.

ACTION:

Follow the Service Procedure steps to correct the condition.

SERVICE PROCEDURE

Remove door trim panel using Workshop Manual (WSM), Section 501-05 and by using a standard push pin removal tool (Figure 1).

Figure 1 - Article 06-14-16

Remove the six (6) rear grommets from sheet metal (Figures 2 and 3). Use a pick tool to remove the grommets. The tabs are located 90° from the injection marks (small round circle molded into clip) (Figure 4).

Figure 2 - Article 06-14-16

Figure 3 - Article 06-14-16

Figure 4 - Article 06-14-16

Figure 5 - Article 06-14-16

Remove six (6) pins from locations (noted by the squares) on door trim panel (Figure 5) and reinstall new push pins.

Add 19/32" X 3" (15mm X 75mm) piece of flock tape in locations identified by the rectangles shown in Figure 5: Two (2) on the lower front door trim panel edge and one on lower rear door trim panel edge (Use flock tape 164-R4903 from Rotunda Squeak and Rattle Repair Kit 164-R4900).

Remove inside release handle using the WSM, Section 501-14.

Add two (2) pieces of 19/32" X 19/32" (15 mm x 15 mm) flock tape 164-R4903 (Figure 6). Use PVC foam 164-R4901 from Rotunda Squeak and Rattle Repair Kit (164-R4900) if flock tape is not available.

Figure 6 - Article 06-14-16

Reinstall inner release handle using the WSM, Section 501-14.

Remove white foam blocks off the door if they are on the door (Figure 7).

Figure 7 - Article 06-14-16

Reinstall door trim panel using the WSM, Section 501-05.

ISSUE:

Some 2006 Fusion / Milan / Zephyr vehicles may exhibit a vibration or buzzing noise coming from the engine compartment or instrument panel (IP) area. The noise may be heard during light tip-ins at 25-50 MPH (40-80 Km/h). The most common occurrence is at approximately 40 MPH (64 Km/h) at 1500 RPM with the V-6 engine. Some vehicles must be completely warmed up by driving them for 15 minutes before the noise can be heard.

ACTION:

There are two different root causes that could generate that type of a noise. Use the following Service Procedure to isolate and repair the root cause.

SERVICE PROCEDURE

Check the lines (brake / fuel / vapor) below the cowl on the right side of master cylinder for grounding to the bulkhead.

Ensure the two black plastic clips are properly installed in the bulkhead and that the lines properly installed in clips. The lines are covered with a metal shield which can make them difficult to see without removing parts.

Use soft foam material number 164-R4902 from Rotunda Squeak and Rattle Kit (164-R4900) to isolate lines from bulkhead if needed.

On V-6 only, inspect the exhaust flex pipe for possible source of noise and replace if necessary.

NOTE: FOR STEP 4, USE HOSE CLAMPS AS A TOOL TO HELP PIN POINT THE ROOT CAUSE OF THE NOISE.

If concern is still present, follow Workshop Manual, Section 100-04 Noise, Vibration and Harshness (NVH) and repair as necessary.

PART NUMBER PART NAME

6E5Z-5G274-AA Exhaust Pipe

WARRANTY STATUS:

Eligible Under Provisions Of New Vehicle Limited Warranty Coverage

OPERATION DESCRIPTION TIME

061108A 2006 Fusion/Milan/Zephyr 3.0L: Replace The Exhaust Flex Pipe (Do Not Use With 5246A) 0.7 Hr.

MT061108 Claim Additional Labor Required As Actual Time Or Use SLTS Operation If Available Actual Time

This is the bulk of the info for these two. I think you should just take it to the dealer.

Still have not heard back from my Sirius guy but he did give me what he thought about the Job 1 vs Job 2 Sirius thing. I (and he) think you will be able to add Sirius to a Job 2 car somewhat easy. He thinks the roof ant. is there and you would just need the recever installed..... What the cost would be I am still wowrking on. Seems to me maybe 200??? Just a guess. I will let you all know when I do.

Thanks Steve for this opportunity. I have a 2006 Fusion I4 automatic that seems to shift very harshly when its cold. As soon as it warms up the problem is not evident. It almost seems as if the engine is low on power when cold.

The dealer could not find any service bulletins etc. Do you know of anything regarding this?

Thanks-Sgtcpu
