Anybody know where the funnel is on the 2013 models. The manual says the car comes with one but doesn't indicate where it's located. I looked in the spare tire compartment (where it is located in my '10 Shelby), but I didn't see it there.

Hi cjspack. :D From the 2013 Fusion Owners Manual, page 154 -

"Note: Do not use aftermarket funnels; they

will not work with the capless fuel system

and can damage it. The included funnel has

been specially designed to work safely with

your vehicle. When filling the vehicle’s fuel tank from a

portable fuel container, use the funnel

included with the vehicle. The funnel is

located in the rear of the vehicle, inside the

load compartment, underneath the load

floor carpet."

Good luck. :beerchug:

I found my funnel for my '13 Fusion directly behind the rear drivers-side passenger seat. Tilt the seat forward and peel the trunk floor carpet from the bottom of the seat back. The funnel is in a moulded pocket just behind the seat under the carpet.

BTW my service manager at the dealer I bought my car from recommended that I use injector cleaner. He stated that due to the composite (non-metallic) intake parts used, he warned about excess carbon build up in these areas, creating a lot of excess heat and poor fuel delivery.

Hope this helps,

Mike
