all1knew
Hello all, I'm done with being yelled at by my car when I'm driving down the block. How do I eliminate the seat belt dinger, which fuse is it hooked up to? Any advice to end this frustration would be greatly appreciated. Thank you! akirby
Any advice to end this frustration would be greatly appreciated. Thank you! You probably won't like it, but the simplest solution is to put on your seatbelt. And you did say "any" advice.........
jwillum
Hello all, I'm done with being yelled at by my car when I'm driving down the block. How do I eliminate the seat belt dinger, which fuse is it hooked up to? Any advice to end this frustration would be greatly appreciated. Thank you! Bill I believe the instructions you are looking for are in the owners manual. It can be disabled temporarily (until you start the car again) or permanently.
FusionDiffusion
By far the easiest way to to put your belt on! That's what it's for! The knowledge you seek about the Belt-Minder® system can be found in your owner's manual.
Ruggybuggy
An air bag deployment without your seatbelt buckeled can be fatal.

akirby
Statistics show that over half of all traffic accidents occur within 3 miles of home. So I moved.

vegas2010SE
I turned the one off in my excursion... I haven't felt brave enough to do so in the fusion....
BreakfastPirate
I disabled mine because I always wear my seatbelt in traffic, and don't feel like being bothered when I'm just driving down the ramps in the parking garage. What really irks me is disabling the seatbelt dinger DOES NOT disable the four series of dings when you turn on the car without wearing your seat belt. Those drive me nuts because I always start the car before putting on my belt.
LarsF
Found the procedure in the owners guide for my 2012, dont know if its the same for a 2010, worked like a charm and I'm sure its in your owners giude (you can find the guide online) >Turn ignition on (dont start) >Wait for the seat belt light to go out >within 30 seconds, buckel and unbuckle the seatbel for the desired seat 3 times >the seat belt lifgt will start flashing >after it stops flashing within 7 seconds buckel and unbuckel the seatbelt once >Repeat for passanger seat if you want Same procedure will turn the chime back on
WestHouston
ObamaCare will not allow you to disable the DING-DING noise. In fact, if you don't buckle up immediately, it will actually gets louder & louder if you ignore it, & SYNC will automatically calls the IRS to report you & you will be fined, taxed & arrested. You are not smart enough nor rich enough to do this yourself & you may hurt yourself. It's for the public good...
MacGyver2004
New Problem. Seatbelt dinger dings when my seat belt is ON! The only way to fix it is to put the car in neutral stop the engine then restart the car. It has only been happening for the past 2 months ago sporadically, however now it is becoming a daily event.
Blue SEL
Try cleaning the seat belt buckle mechanism. That's where the electrical connection is for the car knowing its on. Maybe it's just dirty.
