Any suggestions? Any insight? Thanks Did your dealer provide you with a vehicle order confirmation sheet when you placed the order? If so...consider contacting Ford Customer relations ((1-800-392-3673) and press the prompt for sales and marketing. If you have your order number and your dealer number from that confirmation sheet, they should be able to provide you a build date. Just so happens we ordered the exact same car (SEL AWD, 302 package, navigation, optional paint, etc ) the first weekend in November. Two weeks ago I called the Customer Relations center and they gave me a build date of December 9. I received a call from the dealership just today, giving us the VIN and an anticipated delivery date of 12/29. Pleasant surprise, really, because the dealer did tell us "6 to 8 weeks for special-ordered vehicles" but we figured 3 to 4 months based on other people's experiences.... Any suggestions? Any insight? Thanks My 2011 took about 6 weeks to obtain a vin, arrived just about 9 weeks total after order placed. They will just check the DNB like the dealership can. Every Thur. night the scheduling system is updated by Ford. On Friday morning thedealership can check to see if your vehicle order is accepted, on hold for commodities, or ready to be (or already) scheduled.. Call them Friday and ask for an update.
