Rear window - rubber trim

Just wondering if anyone else has had this happen...

The piece of rubber trim that fits along the bottom of the rear window has just fallen off my 2010 SEL. It's not a big deal to put right (well, once it warms up a bit) and I'm pretty sure I know how it happened (ice that slipped between the trunk lid and the window when I opened it, then pushed the trim down and off when I closed it), but I was wondering if it was a common thing to happen to these cars.

Hi Chevy. :D First time I recall hearing about it.

Your signature states you have a 2010. Assuming it is still within the 3 year/36,000 mile New Car Warranty, I would have the Dealership correct/replace it next time you are in for service. Putting it back in place yourself may not correct the underlying cause of the problem.

Keep us updated and good luck. :beerchug:

I had a similar problem with mine right after I first bought the car, except it was just a 2-3-inch section on the drivers' side. It seems as though the glue/self adhesive on that side didn't quite cure well enough at the factory. I cleaned the glass surface and used some window adhesive for this purpose (3M?) from the auto parts store and its been holding strong ever since.

There is a TSB for this issue, I just had mine done last month.
