omelet1978
The new Altima was unveiled today, so just wondering what everyones takes are on it vs the new Fusion. The Altima will probably outperform the Fusion bc its going to be about 100-150 pounds lighter and will have 270 hp/258 torque vs 237hp/250 torque... That being said I think the Fusion looks better and has a nicer interior and will probably still be pretty fast.
BlackBetty
Too early to tell, I'd like to read more about both and drive them. I'm leaning towards ford though bc of its styling and bc it's a ford.
Moosehead
For me I just can't get used to a CVT. They just "feel" weird to drive. Too smooth. Apparently they've improved it for 2013 but I'm just going from experience with test drives and rentals of other models.
txmack
Love the look of the Fusion, like the advertised fuel economy of the Altima's 4 banger with that CVT, 27/38 :eek5:
Fusionpursuit
I test drove the current 3.5L V6 Altima Coupe with CVT, it was nice and does run to high RPMs during the drive. has a 10 year transmission warranty. Id consider the new Altima if they ever sell it with the 5.6L VK56DE V8 :P which they actually are going to be putting in the 2013 Altima for the debut in the V8 super cars race in Australia, sadly I doubt for production. The Fusion wins hands down, but I do like the V6 Altima coupe

RohitKumar
i would definitely say the ford, not sure about the altima features but the new fusion will have parking assist which is sick, plus the car it self looks amazing. the new altima just looks almost exactly like a maxima...
Jim Rockford
Nissans are junk, look around next time you are out driving and notice how few older imports are still on the road. ...Not many.
