DERTD
When i originally bought the car i thought the hub caps were rims. I think a car that looks this good should not have hub caps, so i heard the mustang rims would fit perfectly. I found some on craigslist and put them on today. Two pics of new rims and one pic of what it looked like before.

Daniel Day
Those look really good dertd. Are those 17s or 18s? I just installed a set of 18" fan blades from a 2005 Mustang. Really changed the look of the car.

Yours looks sweet with windows tinted .
newfusionowner2010
I installed the Cobra R's off my old 97 mustang looks really good I was just wondering if you have any suspension and or tire issues? Had a guy in the ford dealership say they'll mess up the suspension
f8lfusion
Wish I had known this, I've always been told rear wheel drive wheels will not work on front wheel drive cars. So I assume there are no real side effects in doing this then?
jolutter
Wheels are wheels, they are round. As long as offset has clearance, bolt holes line up, and it fits over the hub, let her buck. I wouldn't go over a 8.5" rim due to clearance with the front upright. But everything else is relative.....
mrc71
That looks great. How do they fit?Is the center bore the same?I was actually thinking of these but wondered how it looked. Thanks for posting the pics.
nygbrad
Hey I am about ready to install my wheels and just need to order hub-centric rings. What size did you use for the Mustang wheels? Is it 70.5 to 67.1?

I have Mustang GT wheels off a 2010+ and no issues. They are 19x8.5.

3 point 5
Hey 3 point 5, are you using hub-centric rings on your wheels? Nope... Just 15 millimeter spacers. No vibration, sound, or rubbing
Type34
Hey I am about ready to install my wheels and just need to order hub-centric rings. What size did you use for the Mustang wheels? Is it 70.5 to 67.1? Yes, you'll need hubcentric rings 70.5mm (Stang) to 67.1mm (Fusion). 3.5 has had luck with no hubcentric rings, but in my experience, rings are definitely needed to avoid vibration. And at least 8mm spacers (3.5 is successfully running 15mm). Edited January 20, 2013 by Type34

I have Mustang GT wheels off a 2010+ and no issues. They are 19x8.5. he said the offset on the rims are different and will mess up my suspension but didn't know when said he worked at a rim shop before and said he seen it to many times said it'll tear my balljoints and everything all to pieces I've had the rims on my car for almost a year and a half now and I haven't noticed a difference other than handling and taking curves better lol
nygbrad
Well I took the chance and installed them. Just like 3.5 I have no vibrations at any speeds. If i decide I want to keep the rims I will probably get some rings made just to be on the safe side since I cannot find any with an O.D. 70.5 and I.D. of 67.1. Here are some quick pics I took in my garage since it was raining. Will get some better ones once I can wash it. '05 and newer Mustang wheels are designed to where they have more backspacing, so they are "tucked" in the car further. Older style mustang wheels ('04 and older) had less backspacing, "pushing" the wheel/tire further out, therefor possibly putting too much pressure and stress on suspension compnents and wheel bearings. Same thign happens to the Full sized F250/F350's with aftermarket oversized wheels/tires. They will wear out wheel bearings much quicker, I know from experience on that one! Having said that, I think he is exagerating and really going out on a limb saying it will "tear it to pieces". Offsets/backspacing differences are minimal on what we are comparing. Boomer
At the time I put 2010 Mustang wheels/tires on my 2010 Fusion nobody made the right size ring . Tire dealer even tried but suggested to just run them as the lug nut centers the wheel . Have had no problems and no vibrations of any kind .
