RohitKumar
when should i use the select shift? i like it much better then in regular automatic, i use it on highways usually and when switching lanes i use it for down shifting. is it better to use the SST while slowing down so i don't have o use brakes as much? or is that bad for the car? also is it good to use it to go up hill? or should i stay in auto? thanks

I wouldn't use it for downshifting when slowing just for normal driving. I used it to either hold a higher or lower gear (mountain driving e.g. or blasting through twisty roads) or to force a downshift or upshift for quicker passing or better fuel economy (or to prevent an unwanted downshift/upshift).
RohitKumar
how do you use it for better fuel economy? and if i am going up a large hill what gear should i put it in? also when you are on the twisty road what gear should you hold it in?

You can force it to stay in 6th gear instead of downshifting - that will help fuel economy as long as the engine doesn't start lugging. If the hill is too steep you'll have to downshift. There's no one answer - just do whatever feels best to you.
