Fusion Sport 3M Crystalline CR40

Over the weekend I got my windows tinted by SunTint in Roswell, GA. Brian the owner tinted my previous vehicle and did a great job, I had him use 40% 3M Crystalline tint all the way around and 60% on the sunroof. The heat\IR\UV and TSER rejection is higher than anything else on the market (to my knowledge). Check out the pics and let me know what you think!

Thats something that I am currently dealing with. He told me from the start that its hard getting it to look perfect. He lightly sanded down the surface of the dot matrix (without touching the glass) prior to applying the tint. Its been a few days and so far the adhesion is much better than what I have previously seen on other cars. However, since I am a perfectionist I am taking it back to him on friday to work out some of the air pockets that have formed around that dotted area. From what I understand the combination of a heat gun and a hand card should be able to basically eliminate the air pockets. I attached a close up pic of the air pockets i am dealing with. I'll post results after the adjustment. Aside from the dot matrix the rest of the car looks fabulous, including the small quarter windows. The heat rejection is really impressive.

Thanks guys, the post heat gun results are negligible and the installer said that my results are as good as he can get them. I'm really a perfectionist so Im probably going to get the back redone at RPM Tinting in Richmond, VA. http://www.rimsperfo...es/window_tint/ I spoke to their lead installer about the black dots on our back windows and he says that he will provide me with a written gurantee that it will come out perfectly with absolutely no bubbles. Evidently the dot issue is worse on bmw's and corvettes, he provided me with the following picture of a vehicle he did with "dots". I think im going to get him to do it. Thoughts?

I'd say, go for it. I'd like to see RPM stand by their word and deliver. The sample picture looks great, though its not a Fusion which seems to have a slightly different spacing pattern in between dots. If you get RPM to do it, please post pictures. I suspect a lot of FFF members, myself included, would be delighted to learn HOW TO BEAT THE DOTS!

Thanks for the input, I attempted to get back in touch with RPM to set up an appointment however I think they are experiencing power outage related issues due to the storm that rolled through VA leaving many without power. As far as the picture that I posted goes, the installer said that it was a BMW rear window and that their dots are as difficult to deal with as ours. He offered to put me in touch with the owner of a 2011 fusion that he recently tinted. I'll post when I have anything new.
