Nice job, LFSoccer!

IMO not every car looks good monochrome; black pulls the look off very nicely, every time. Somebody does nice work!

My '12 is Sterling Gray. When I got it, it had a bunch of miles on it. The "chrome" grill was pitted badly from road debris. I want/like chrome on this car so I've ordered all the bars new to replace it with. Adding the LED halos (chrome face) will only add to the look. I already have those here.

My real quandary now is the lower grillwork. I -really- like the look of the Sport grille. The "honeycomb" pattern matches the same pattern around the foglamps.

Would you or anyone else happen to know if the standard SEL and Sport lower grills will interchange?
The front fascia on my car has been replaced. Every gray Fusion I've seen with a replacement fascia has the same problem; the color doesn't quite match the rest of the car.

I wouldn't mind having a re-paint done on the front end and am considering also having the foglamp pieces and the lower insert painted to match the rest of the car, keeping all the framework chrome.

Opinions? TIA.

Sorry for the stupid question, but I just picked up a 2010 yesterday.

I think it is kinda an odd duck. The grill is color matched to the car. I have never seen one that is the same color, they all have been chrome. Was this a factory option or did someone paint it?

It is a SE and it is a stick too

It was a factory option in 2010; part of the Monochrome Appearance Package.

2010 Fusion brochure:

When it comes to looks, Fusion gives you plenty of choices. Go with the available APPEARANCE PACKAGE

or MONOCHROME APPEARANCE PACKAGE (shown above) to take your Fusion SE or SEL

from hot to scorching. The transformation begins with dynamic 18" WHEELS wrapped in V-rated performance

tires matched to a SPORT-TUNED SUSPENSION for taut handling and a more athletic ride. Both

packages also add a slick SPOILER and EXCLUSIVE INTERIOR touches. Prefer a body-color grille?

The Monochrome Appearance Package is your perfect fit. Check out the Specs for complete package contents.

Looks great man. I have a red candy metallic sport with the dark chrome grille, but the finish on mine is super splotchy. Almost as if the paint tech was having a bad day, even though surely these are on an automated line. There's also a super small chip with the bright chrome visible, which shows they just finished over the original coating.

I'd like to paint it but I'm torn between going with a darker graphite metallic, more like the original, or monochrome. I can get color matched paint super easy.

Any suggestions?
