I installed a Steeda CIA w/a tune. I ran the 1/4 mile in 14.80. Bone stock it ran low 15's. However, I'm still learning how to launch it. It can be tricky out of the hole w/the front wheel drive & traction control off/on. I've only been out once since I put it in so I still need to experiment a bit.

Reviewing my time slips, I can tell you I was consistently around 9.6 @ the 1/8 mile & 74 mph.

I word of caution though, if you have any other mods to your 3.5 L Sport, you may have to return it to stock if you decide to go the CIA route. I had a performance chip in mine & the Steeda tech. urged me to remove it before I installed the CIA Power Pak to ensure the maximum benefit.

Hope this helps....good luck.....I'll let you know what I come up with on my next trip to the strip.

Thanks man. Mine is bone stock and I'm running 10.07 @ 70ish. But my reaction times are always lik .52-.58. So I'm decent at the tree. I also have subs in the car which probably don't help. I'll be running tomorrow with them out and the top piece ofthe grille removed because that's where the air intake is so I hope it helps a little.

I'm in the process of making my top grille bar removable for the same reason. They weren't designed to be taken off & on. I'm worried about breaking it. So far, it's a little more than I bargained for, but I'll let you know how it turns out.

One thing I was going to try is to launch in 2nd gear (in manual mode) to minmize tire spin then shift to auto the rest of the run. I guess it may depend on the track prep. Anyway....I keep you posted. Let me know how you make out.

Launching in 2nd almost never helps your times unless you have gobs of torque to make up for the taller gear. Your 60' times will probably suffer the most (try it and see). Not to mention the computer might override you and downshift to 1st anyway if you put your foot all the way down before you pass max 1st gear speed.

If you're not already using non-stock tires, you really should be. The stock RS-As are designed to be an all season tire, so they suck at the drag strip. Put slicks on and see what happens to your times when you can finally get traction.

I ran tonight with the top piece of the grille off and ran a 9.88. Not to bad with just the top piece removed actually noticed a pull at about 65mph that I didnt notice before. Almost felt like a slight turbo almost like a little bit of boost from a sort of ram air. Got beat by a boosted Silvia who ran a 9.69. Had him the whole track up until 20ft befor trap and he flew right past me ha.

Thanks for the tips. I was considering getting some drag radials, but I did think I was making enough power to justify using them. I'll give it a shot.

Nice. It sounds like you left on him. Good job!

I just ordered a cat-back system today. I'm not anticipating much of a power boost but I'm still anxious to see what happens.

Keep it going!
