ColdFusionS10
Hello! I have a 2010 3.5L FWD FSport, I'm wondering if anyone with the same car as me has purchased/installed the GForce performance chip, they are being sold for $69. I figured that performance chips like the GForce that are advertised all over google are cheap and a waste of money? I eventually will be putting in the Steeda CAI w/tune but in the meantime, what will these chips actually do? Any actual mpg/HP improvement ? I appreciate your time in advance, Thanks!
akirby
Absolute complete waste of money. Do a search if you want details - we've discussed it ad nauseum. You need a tuner like SCT with custom tunes.
drolds1
You figured correctly. Common sense tells you that for $69 you're not going to get any kind of performance or gas mileage improvement. This is just a cheap resistor in a fancy box. It will make your car run richer temporarily and may even cause some damage. Need more? Go here and scroll down to "Verified Scams."
indifferent
^^ Save your money on the "CAI" intake as well. A:It's nota true CAI B. your gains will be next to nill without opening up the exaust and other modifications. C. the biggest change you will get from a the CIA is a slightly different noise coming from the engine upon acceleration.
Big Jim
This is certainly one of those cases in which if it seems too good to be true, it usually is too bood to be true. It is truly a snake oil product. Snake oil products are designed to do one thing and one thing only, seperate you from your money.
