JSchaffer86
Is a cold-air intake worth it? I am no mechanic, but I've heard they will increase gas milage. Does anyone have experince and/or recomendations on this? I have a '10 Fusion Sport

It will change the engine sound a little and you might pick up a couple of hp at WOT, otherwise don't waste your money.

First of all, most are not true "Cold Air Intakes", since they actually take hot air from the hot engine compartment. Second, compared to those aftermarket CAI's, our cars sactually do have a CAI from the factory, since they take unheated engine air from the intake tract routed down by the wheelwell. You will not see any gain in MPG's. With EPA and CAFE regulations nowadays, all automakers spend tens of millions of dollars to improve MPG's by tenths at a time. If it was as easy as slapping on a "CAI", the automakers would do it. Good luck. :beerchug:
