shumax
I am about to take on a 2010 Sport and was looking at the receipts and the following repair was made. What is this? "IDS TEST CODES P0119-1289 -PINPOINT TEST, DATA LOGGER, PINPOINT TO CHT BAD. REMOVED LOWER INTAKE TO GAIN ACCESS TO CHT SENSOR. REFILLED, RESTEST, PASS. The work included 2 intake maniford gaskets, a sensor assembly, 4 other gaskets, a seal and anti-freeze. The repair was close to $600 and occurred at 47,151 miles. It has 52,000 on it now. Thanks!
akirby
I'm guessing Cylinder Head Temperature Sensor.
Waldo
Yep, it's the Cylinder Head Temperature sensor and the shop manual says there are only two steps to remove it. 1. Remove the lower intake manifold 2. Remove the sensor Of course removing the lower intake manifold does require a bunch of gaskets and draining the coolant, so looks like a simple by-the-book sensor replacement to me.
shumax
Thanks. Sounds straight forward enough; though, I am pleased I didn't foot that bill - yikes! Is that a common issue on that engine? Thanks again!
