GhostRider
The steel wheels on my 2006 Ford Crown Victoria Police Interceptor are 17x7.5. Will they bolt right up to a 2010 Fusion without modification? Here is what I know about the police steel rims, used from 2006-2011: 17x7.5 Steel Wheel, 2006-2011 CVPI Part #: 7W7Z-1007-C Bolt Pattern: 5 x 4.50 or 5 x 114.3 Rim Width: 7.5J Offset: 46
Type34
Yes they will, but with hub rings. They share 5 x 114.3 lugs and have a high offsets (the CV's 46mm will work fine), but the only difference is the center bore. The Fusion's center bore is 67.1 and the CV's is 70.3 (CVs 2003+). So the CV wheel will fit, but you'll need hub rings from 67.1 to 70.3 so there's no vibration (you can find these on eBay). That's the objective answer. The subjective answer is "no" based on the fact that you're attempting to fit a Police vehicle's steel wheel onto an attractive 2010 family sedan. There 100x better options out there for the Fusion. If you're looking for an inexpensive upgrade to 17", keep in mind the Fusion has the same lug/bore (5x114.3 / 67.1) settings as most Mazdas (3, 5, 6, CX-5, CX-7, CX-9, etc.), Mitsubishis (Lancer, EVO, Galant, etc.), and Hyundais/Kias (Sonata, Optima, Elantra, etc.). The higher Fusion offset means that most of these wheels will fit no problem.

Boomer
you'll need hub rings from 67.1 to 70.3 so there's no vibration When I installed 2010 Mustang wheels on my 2010 Fusion the hub ring size I needed was not made but they work just fine . These wheels are lug nut centered not hub piloted .
thefoeyouknow
Interested to know how that turned out. I have some 17" CVPI wheels also with 245/45/ZR17 BFG's on them that I've been saving for my T-Bird after 5-lug conversion, but I've been curious about how they'd look on the Fusion.

I dont know much about hub rings so please educate me on them. Thats a little bit of a span you cited there.
thefoeyouknow
Ford doesn't use hub-centric wheels except on 97-03 F-150. Anything else I can think of is Lug-centric, that is, it relies on the taper of the the lug nut to center the wheel.
thefoeyouknow
Never heard on this, so I tried my own. 17 inch police car wheels with 245/45r17 WILL fit and WILL NOT rub. You cant fit a finger between the spindle and the sidewall, but there isn't any contact. I thought they looked great, but the wife wouldn't be seen in it, so I put her boring 16's back on. It is HER daily driver after all.
