Botts Posted January 17, 2016 Share Posted January 17, 2016 I found a used climate control on Ebay for 30$ and it solved the problem. Part number is 6E5H-18C612-BR with software V6.37. Defective control I had in the car was 8E5H-18C612-BB with software V1.01. How did you determine software version? My 2006 SEL has always had this issue, brand new battery or not. Mine's usually when it drops below -15C though, not -5C. It totally defeats the purpose of having an remote car starter. I'm totally comfortable with pulling the part out of a used Fusion, but I don't want to replace it and have the same issue.
