Where is "Build Date" Sticker?

Recommended Posts

It seems that when I first purchased my MKZ, I saw a Build Date posted somewhere. (I purchased in the end of October and the Build Date was sometime in September). Went looking for it today, and could not find it. Could not remember where I saw that Build Date.

Anyone know where it is located?

Hi Bob.:D The sticker is on the drivers door jamb. It is located about 6-8 inches to the rear of the "Lincoln" plate on the door jamb. The build date is the date to the top left. Mine is 11/06. So yours will most likely say 9/06 (or 09/06).

Good luck!

The dealer should be able to tell you the exact build date (date the body was dropped I think it is). The Analytical Warranty System (AWS) provides this information and dealer sale and warranty data is entered into AWS. They should have access to this data somewhere. Ford and supplier engineers also have access, but jobs are scarce in Detroit. No one is likely to take a chance looking up your data.
