Meelaan
See! I knew the 06 model had problems. Further proving why not to buy a vehicle in its first year of production. Hooray 2007!
FordFanInBowie
Staff - when I do a search on the NHTSA web site, I only come up with 12 TSBs. Do you know why there is a difference? Here's where I searched for 2006 Ford Fusion V-6: http://www-odi.nhtsa.dot.gov/cars/problems/tsb/tsbsearch.cfm Meelaan - I hope you are being facetious, because my ’06 SEL V-6, purchased 10/4/05 (probably Job 1), has been trouble-free, knock on wood. :beerchug:
robertlane
Don't know why there is a discrepancy between Ford and NHTSA. The info. posted here is from Ford.
CarlosJ
My 2006 Fusion has an issue with the Automatic A/C going up and down all the time. I wonder if it may be related to TSB 06-10-6.
wkienzle
Don't know why there is a discrepancy between Ford and NHTSA. The info. posted here is from Ford. From the Service Bulletins section of the NHTSA website:"The data does not contain all the service bulletins generated by a manufacturer. Bulletins for safety recalls in general are not included, and also bulletins which may not pertain to a defect may not be included." I usually only look at the recalls and didn't realize they had a separate section for other issues.
akirby
The NHTSA doesn't have an interest in "B" pillar wind noise or premature floor mat wear (as examples from Ford's list). These are items that the manufacturer addresses to maintain customer satisfaction and are not the safety related issues that concern the NHTSA. The descrepancy is the difference between a recall (where customers get notified under provisions of federal law) and a service advisory (where customers may or may not find out about the issue). Not true - the NHTSA web site also publishes regular TSBs that have nothing to do with safety recalls.
Woody
I just had my manual Lumbar support go out and it's obviously no longer covered under warranty... Is there a way to get ahold of TSB 07-7-3 and find out how difficult the repair procedure is?
Macflyer
I just had my manual Lumbar support go out and it's obviously no longer covered under warranty... Is there a way to get ahold of TSB 07-7-3 and find out how difficult the repair procedure is? Woody, I had this replaced under warranty on my '06 SEL and it took them awhile to do it. Obviously they had to remove the entire seat and tear it apart to replace this part. I would think even though your car is out of warranty, since there is a TSB on this product failing they would still replace it free of charge. Good Luck! snowdog85
My 2006 Fusion has an issue with the Automatic A/C going up and down all the time. I wonder if it may be related to TSB 06-10-6. I am having an issue with the temp shooting up everytime I set it. It doesn't matter if it is in Auto or manual mode. Does anyone know anything about this? I recently purchased an 06 SEL and love it other than this issue. I may need to bring it back in to the shop from the way things look. At first I thought I was having trouble operating the controls, but I believe it is set it and forget it...
mattsger
Don't know why there is a discrepancy between Ford and NHTSA. The info. posted here is from Ford. How do we know that these TSB's are from Ford? I was just at a dealership and they knew nothing of the TSB regarding the camshaft tick on 3.0 V-6 motors with the camshaft driven waterpump... I think that my Milan has this problem and I think that Ford is just trying to be cheap. So what would one do to get the dealership to resolve this? 06' Milan Machined my own resonator delete. I've had great difficulty getting TSB items fixed for free out-of-warranty, and I even have an top $ ESP. I just wrote it up on my blog: http://www.thesanitypoint.com/archive/2009...-with-ford.aspx Not a particularly happy camper here. - Woody -
onexl85
Hello I have an 06 fusion 2.3. Getting trouble code 0606 and 0128 I saw that the 0606 may have something to do with a recall, is a recall honored on my car even though it has 135,000 miles?
bbf2530
Hello I have an 06 fusion 2.3. Getting trouble code 0606 and 0128 I saw that the 0606 may have something to do with a recall, is a recall honored on my car even though it has 135,000 miles? Hi onexl. :D What is listed above are Technical Service Bulletines (TSB's). They are not "recalls" and are not related to "recalls" in any way. A short/basic explanation: A TSB is simply a type of message/notification from Ford to the Dealerships providing some type of information. In cases such as the TSB's listed above, a TSB simply tells the Dealership that if problem A occurs, perform procedure "B". It tells the Dealership "We have seen this problem a few times already, and it can be most easily corrected by performing this procedure". In this way, the Dealership can go directly to fixing the car, instead of wasting time (and money) performing diagnostics or replacing the wrong part. In other cases, "TSB's" are even more benign service memos. Bottom line? In most cases, once a vehicle is out of Warranty, it is out of Warranty and TSB's are not performed for no charge. Of course, there are always exceptions to the rule, so the best way to find out is to ask your Dealerships Service Manager. Let us know how you make out. Good luck. :beerchug:
onexl85
Hey, Thanks I honestly never knew there was a difference. What do you think those two codes could be and how can I fix the issue.....hate to have to go to the dealer
ali_squidz
How does one find out what the fixes are for these TSBs? My stealership wont even quote me until they tear into fixing the squeaky seat. I dont have that kind of free floating cash to throw around at a squeak. I would like to see what the fix is because I could likely do it myself.

If you want to read them, Google the particular TSB number and you might get lucky. Otherwise invest $25 or so and get a subscription to AlldataDiy and you'll have access to all published TSBs for your car.
12FUSION4US
How can I find out what TSBs have been resolved on my car? I am experiencing some of the issues listed above.
FusionDiffusion
You would have to get an oasis report from a dealer that would show the service records on your vehicle. Some service records may not mention a TSB number (just depends if the service tech made a note of it or not). If you are experiencing issues, it would be better to just make a dealer service appointment for your problem(s).
