Goodburbon
My neighbor converted his jeep to run on propane. His tank went dry while he was checking his property several miles away and he called me to bring him a fresh tank. My wife had the f150 in town. 3 miles of unplowed rutted muddy two track to get there, then 100 yards down into the sand wash. He and his new neighbors were aghast when I drove down the wash to deliver the propane. He said he could pull me out with the jeep. Pulling me out wasn't necessary. The ecoboost excels where the Subaru left me flat...power to spin the tires. I powered it up the hill ,back onto the two track and went on my merry way. My neighbor called to let me know that everyone was a bit bewildered at the little car's performance. Only issue? Traction control. The traction control was going bonkers with all the wheel spin and actually stopped me when I was almost at the top of the hill. It took a minute of them thinking I was stuck while I navigated the menu looking for the traction control to shut it off. Once off I powered my way up and over the crest, and down the road. Front air dam clearance seems like it may be an issue in the future.
BlackBetty
That's awesome! Yeah I turn off the TCS when I want tire some tire spin and to kick out the rear end a bit. If you were in a truck it would have acted the same with TCS on.
