RohitKumar
I have the 87 no sleeve tune, but there are other options in it, what are the best options to make my 3.5 FFS run better? are there settings for faster acceleration while in automatic and SST? and is there a setting to make shifting while in SST more responsive. I feel like there is a lag time between when i hit the shifter to when the gear actually shifts! thanks
BlackBetty
I think the options are to change your spark timing which won't change your shift points or how fast the trans shifts. I believe I read that our transitions can't increase shift time with a tune. I know some cars can change shift points with a tune bug I believe our cars are a bit different and can't. The only thing you could do is get a higher octane tune. SST shifting won't change and won't be super fast bc we don't have a twin clutch trans.

I feel like there is a lag time between when i hit the shifter to when the gear actually shifts! thanks Hi RohitKumar. :D The biggest mistake many people make when complaining about "delays" in SST mode can be solved by reading the Owners Manual to be sure you are shifting properly. For the quickest shifts in SST mode, quickly flick and release the shifter/paddle. Do not hold the shifter/paddle in the shift position, as this will delay the shift. Hope this helps and good luck. :beerchug:
FusionDiffusion
There is also some inherent delay just using SST. You get the fastest acceleration in automatic mode because the transmission can anticipate shifts at the redline more precisely than you can. It's not a performance transmission so it's not designed to shift especially fast.
RohitKumar
i do just flick it back and let it go, but on the SCT tuner there are options to change other things on it, does any one know if changing those options will help with anything? do you guys change those settings? i changed the speed limiter to no limit but i am not sure what the rest means.
FusionDiffusion
The transmission in your car has it's own separate computer (TCM), so I'm not sure that the Steeda tuner is able to modify shift firmness settings like on cars that have a PCM controlled transmission (the 2.5L and 3.0L engines). Call Steeda and ask, but I'm guessing they can't do anything with the transmission on a Sport.
