Tommy1954
Is our only option the steeda intake for the 3.5L?? Id pick one up for $299 from steeda.com but was told to buy it off of steeda Canada since thats where Im from but I have a tough time spending $365cdn plus taxes. ($408) on just an intake. Do you guys know of any other brands for our cars? My buddy just picked up a brand new K&N system for his 2010 Tacoma and paid $225 cdn. I phoned KN but they only have a system for the fusion 4cyl.
SlowLSJ
You get what you pay for. The K&N Intake in junk. Steeda dyno'ed 10-12 extra hp with there intake I believe. I love my steeda intake! I noticed a increase in power and MPG
viggen
If you want anything of quality, Steeda is the only way to go. If youre doing the intake, I'd advise you to tune it correctly too, otherwise the intake alone would be a waste imo.
CasperCobra
I'm still under warranty on my Sport and would like to keep it that way. I don't think intake will void warranty, but I'm pretty sure the tune will. Anyone have any issues??
viggen
Any aftermarket stuff on the car does not make the factory warranty void. However, claims can be denied if the said aftermarket piece caused the problem. Same thing with the tune. If you have any problems with operation - and it is pinpointed back to the PCU - the fact that you used a tune will cause any warranty claim to be denied. With that being said, most people here will tell you that they have not had any issues. Just don't go crazy with the programming, and use a reputable dealer (like Steeda)
Tommy1954
I cant believe there is only one option for an intake on this engine. I'm sure I'll breakdown eventually and pay the $400.
jmv03001
OK, I'm a new user... I have a 2012 Fusion Sport AWD. Has anyone taken a long road trip with the Steeda CAI installed? I am ready to buy one, but I want to take a cross country road trip later this summer that will be about 5000 miles round trip. I'm wondering how it would hold up under long drives of 10 hours per day. So far, I have put 31,000 miles on my fusion, without a single problem. The only things I have done so far, was to get the Magnaflow catback and the Throttle body spacer, both from Steeda...
indifferent
I do not have one on this car but have had CAI on other cars. It's a real basic bolt on job. Assuming you do it properly and everything is tightend down you will have no problems,
